Job Description and Required Skills:
• Strong foundations in astrodynamics and orbital mechanics
• Proficiency in high fidelity orbital modeling, propagation, and maneuver planning (repeat ground tracks, altitude maintenance, COLA)
• Experience with estimation methods such as Kalman Filtering and least squares
• Familiarity with spacecraft Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) subsystems, especially ADCS and propulsion
• Experience maintaining and improving GNC/Flight Dynamics tools in a version controlled environment
• Familiarity with spacecraft GNC subsystems, especially ADCS and propulsion
• Able to troubleshoot simulation anomalies, control loop instabilities, and flight telemetry data to determine root cause and drive technical resolutions
• Compiling and assessing flight telemetry and simulation logs to iteratively optimize GNC algorithm performance, vehicle stability, and overall mission margin
• Ability to work effectively on high-performing, multidisciplinary aerospace teams to hit critical mission milestones
• Strong oral and written communication skills necessary for presenting technical trade studies, design reviews (PDR/CDR), and documenting GNC algorithms
• Strong documentation mindset; able to work with minimal docs and document systems as they evolve
• Demonstrates robust software craftsmanship and expert-level Python development practices, consistently writing clean, modular, and maintainable code while enforcing high software reliability through comprehensive unit testing and rigorous peer code reviews

Desired Skills:
• Develop automated precise orbit determination (OD) pipelines and high accuracy ephemeris products using Python-based astrodynamics tools
• Monitor and control satellite orbits to maintain repeat ground tracks, manage drift/deadbands, and plan station keeping maneuvers
• Manage conjunction events and ensure operational responses align with best space safety practices
• Utilizing REST APIs and Python scripting to integrate disparate engineering tools, automate complex GNC simulation workflows, and streamline flight telemetry data ingestion.
• Eager to master advanced GNC algorithms, flight dynamics modeling, and state-of-the-art Python-based simulation frameworks used across missions
• Support flight software and mission teams by developing, testing, and deploying GNC algorithms and high-fidelity simulation models to secure Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments
• Collaborating with systems engineering, mission design, and cross-functional teams to define, analyze, and derive GNC subsystem requirements and hardware/software specifications.
• Proficiency in a compiled language such as C, C++, or Rust
• Using CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) for automated testing and regression checks

Salary Range:
• $140,000 - $200,000 This will depend on the level of the position (Jr, Mid, Sr)

Experience and Educational Requirements:
• Seven (7) + years of experience and a B.S. in Computer Science, or related field.
