Activity Security Representative II (ASR II)

Location: JBAB (Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling), Washington, DC

Position Overview

The Activity Security Representative II (ASR II) provides day-to-day security support for Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and collateral classified programs. This position serves as a key member of the security team, ensuring compliance with government security requirements while supporting personnel security, physical security, classified material control, and visitor management functions.

Key Responsibilities

Process incoming and outgoing classified correspondence and materials
Maintain classified document accountability systems and records
Manage classified mail receipt, distribution, and destruction procedures
Administer personnel security records and access documentation
Process visit requests and maintain visitor control procedures
Support facility access control and badge administration
Conduct security briefings, indoctrinations, and debriefings
Maintain personnel access records within DISS and other security systems
Assist with SAP security inspections and compliance reviews
Process inbound and outbound classified mail, courier packages, and receipts
Maintain classified material inventories and accountability records
Support Special Access Program personnel security activities
Execute Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS)/DISS, and SAP-related personnel security actions
Coordinate with government security officials, program personnel, and facility managers
Ensure compliance with NISPOM, SAP security requirements, and customer security procedures

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of security-related experience
Active security clearance with eligibility for Special Access Program access
Ability to obtain and maintain SAP access
Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP)
Experience with DISS, JPAS, DCII, and personnel security processing
Familiarity with classified document control and accountability procedures
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
Special Program Security Certification (SPSC)
Experience supporting government security inspections and compliance activities
