Duties
This position is located in the Army National Guard (ARNG) Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG/G4), Distribution Management Division, Plans Policy and Readiness Branch. Its purpose is to develop command logistics guidance and support plans for federal and state missions.
Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations.
Develops, coordinates and implements policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support and environmental compliance. Ensures coordination between units, JFHQ staff, USPFO, NGB and other agencies on command logistics support requirements. Initiates equipment redistribution guidance. Responsible for operation of the logistics operations center to support JFHQ Emergency Operations Center for Federal and State missions.
Obtains data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness. Consolidates all logistics readiness indicators to formulate an assessment of the command logistics readiness of the state. Develops the Equipment on Hand policy that directs the supply and services officer and (DOL) DCSLOG/G4 to initiate equipment redistribution actions within the command.
Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization. Receives input from the Surface Maintenance Manager (SMM) regarding the Mission Support Plans to support the material fielding plan. Develops command requirements for new equipment training. Analyzes, directs and provides command logistics guidance to support CTA/TDA/MTOE changes and turn-in of command excess equipment to the USPFO.
Serves as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program.
Updates Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan projecting 5 years into future for all DCSLOG/G4branches or activities. Prepares the annual DCSLOG/G4 management controls statement of assurance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Must have experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. (MUST address your experiences in detail on resume as they relate to these general experiences to be considered for this position)
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE -OR- EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-09
Must have one of the following:
A) 1-year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade of GS-7. Experience analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience in cost estimates, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support. Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. (MUST address your experiences in detail on resume as they relate to these specialized experiences, if using experience to qualify for this position/grade)

B) Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. (MUST submit transcripts with application, if using education to qualify for this position/grade)
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE -OR- EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-11
Must have one of the following:
A) 1-year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade of GS-9. Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. (MUST address your experiences in detail on resume as they relate to these specialized experiences, if using experience to qualify for this position/grade)

B) Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. (MUST submit transcripts with application, if using education to qualify for this position/grade)

- NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the employing state's National Guard.
