Job Description

Duties

  • Supports and develops implementation plans of the Command Group's policies and programs.
  • Assigns, tasks, and provides guidance to staff offices in response to urgent and routine requests for information and recommendations on issues of operations, current events, strategy, plans, command and control issues.
  • Coordinates Operations Summary and Operational Calendars by facilitating Operations meetings.
  • Reviews all tasks and Operation Orders , both external and internal, to ensure task, and orders are entered into the task management system within established timelines and assigned to the appropriate Divisions/offices.
  • Studies and evaluates issues and data of content and knowledge of functional assignments throughout the organization, recommending assignment of actions to appropriate staff elements, with specific direction concerning type of response required.

  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • This position has a data analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 2 certification within 24 months of being placed on the position.
  • Program Management Professional Certification is required within 24 months of being placed.

Specialized experience at GS-12: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as: (1)Identify and evaluate a wide range of operation program processes to provide direct support to management; (2) Utilize data analysis to prepare reports and/or findings based on knowledge of the operational programs and activities of the organization; and (3) Use various project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum, to assist with projects and/or studies to recommend solutions to problems in organizational structure, administrative procedures and work processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
