SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize information from a variety of automated systems across multiple DOD, Federal, and state agencies. Knowledge of investigation and re-investigation processes to initiate and conduct follow-up in the approved automated system(s). Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career. Skill in oral and written communication sufficient to write reports, conduct presentations, and/or clearly communicate personnel security processes, regulations, or training. Must have at least 12 months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07).

Education
To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-09. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the line of work.
For the GS-09 level: To qualify on education alone applicant must have one of the following: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 including qualifying with combination of education and experience.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a top secret clearance.
