Position Overview

Ataero is seeking a Computer Network Architect (Journeyman) to support WOLF and USSOCOM enterprise networking initiatives. The selected candidate will provide network engineering expertise supporting Integrated Systems Networks (ISN), enterprise connectivity, cloud networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure modernization efforts across geographically dispersed mission environments.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience designing, implementing, securing, and troubleshooting enterprise network architectures supporting mission-critical operations across cloud, corporate, and secure environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise network architectures.
  • Support routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN, OTV, and enterprise Ethernet infrastructures.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of network, routing, switching, and application connectivity issues.
  • Support cloud and hybrid network architectures, including Azure networking environments.
  • Configure and maintain VPNs, firewalls, security appliances, and encrypted communications solutions.
  • Implement automation solutions utilizing Python and Ansible.
  • Support Zero Trust initiatives, segmentation strategies, and network security compliance requirements.
  • Develop network documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
  • Support geographically distributed users, remote locations, and mission partners.
  • Participate in network modernization, migration, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4–8 years of experience supporting enterprise network engineering or architecture initiatives.
  • Experience designing and operating enterprise network infrastructures across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, SD-WAN, and firewall technologies.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, and private networking solutions.
  • Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.


Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting USSOCOM or Department of Defense communications environments.
  • Experience supporting SCIF or secure facility network operations.
  • Familiarity with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) and Type 1 encryption.
  • Cisco CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent industry certifications.
  • Experience with Zero Trust architecture implementations.
  • Python scripting and infrastructure automation experience.

Travel Required

Up to 75% CONUS/OCONUS Travel

Travel may be required to customer sites, government facilities, testing locations, and operational environments in support of USSOCOM and WOLF mission requirements.
