Job Description
SAI, a small business government contractor, is seeking a mission-driven professional to provide business operation support in San Antonio, TX. This position provides manpower administration and advisory support for a DOD program responsible for full-lifecycle Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) support across air, space, and cyberspace special access programs. The candidate will join a small, focused team contributing directly to the operational readiness and workforce health of a high-priority national security mission.
This role sits at the intersection of manpower policy, personnel analytics, and executive-level advisory support. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating complex DoD guidance, engaging with senior leadership, and managing detailed workforce data in a classified environment.
Responsibilities include:
*Serving as principal advisor to staff and management on AF Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Cryptologic Component Program (CCP) billet allocations
*Coordinating with internal and external customers to resolve management, scheduling, funding, and technical issues related to manpower requirements
*Interpreting complex policy guidance, responding to manpower inquiries, and liaising between organizations on all manpower initiatives
*Establishing, updating, and utilizing processes to coordinate and analyze manning reviews and recruiting practices
*Capturing and tracking manpower changes via Excel and providing monthly briefings
*Documenting historical manpower trends to mitigate gaps and lapses
*Supporting program management reviews (PMRs) quarterly and delivering Monthly Status Reports
*Providing escort support for government staff visits
*Completing staff work requiring internal/external coordination and recording minutes for formal reviews and working groups
Basic Qualifications:
*Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance (TS/SCI required; SSBI within 6 years)
*Ability to meet SAP nomination process (SAPNP) requirements and complete a CI polygraph as a condition of access
*Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations/administrative support, manpower management, or personnel administration within the last 10 years
*Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for manpower tracking and trend analysis
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief senior leadership
*Available to work core hours (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM), Monday–Friday, on-site in San Antonio, TX
Preferred Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree or professional certification in project management, business, or a related field
*Prior experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community manpower functions (AF POM, CCP billets, or equivalent)
*Familiarity with TMT/Workflow processing and command office coordination
*Experience drafting Quality Control Plans, OCI Mitigation Plans, or similar contract deliverables
*Background supporting special access programs (SAP/SCI environments)
Position contingent upon client acceptance of candidate/approval.
