Job Description
Insight Global is actively hiring Mid Level, Secret and Top Secret Data Engineers to join our team supporting a newly awarded DoD/DoW Program.
Candidate can site hybrid remote - 3 or 4 days remote; 1 or 2 days onsite in either Gaithersburg Maryland, or Alexandria Virginia. This is NOT 100% Remote; candidate must be willing to work onsite 1 to days per week.
In this role a a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with partners and technical teams to design and deliver scalable, production-ready data solutions across multiple organizations. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, supporting ETL/ELT processes, integrating data systems with enterprise platforms and analytics tools, and ensuring data quality and governance. You will also contribute to DevSecOps workflows, troubleshoot and optimize data processes, and work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. This position offers the opportunity to support high-impact data and AI initiatives with direct national security relevance.
Basic Qualifications:
Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance - THIS IS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).
Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
Experience performing data ingestion, transformation, and processing tasks.
Experience working with data tools and platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or similar).
Experience operating within Agile or SAFe environments supporting enterprise systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance.
Experience supporting data pipelines across multi-enclave DoD environments.
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience supporting AI/ML data preparation and feature engineering workflows.
Experience working with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and lineage concepts.
Insight Global is hiring multiple candidates for this role so exact pay will vary based on candidates clearance level, depth of knowledge and experience, and overall job functions, but we expect to pay 130K - 165K for these roles along with comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits
