Job Description
Insight Global is actively hiring Top Secret Senior Software Engineers to join our team supporting a newly awarded DoD/DoW Program.
Candidate can site hybrid remote - 3 or 4 days remote; 1 or 2 days onsite in either Gaithersburg Maryland, or Alexandria Virginia. THIS IS NOT 100% Remote; candidate must be willing to work onsite 1 to days per week.
As a Senior Software Developer, you will collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure, production-ready software solutions across multiple organizations. The role focuses on building and integrating backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications, implementing modern development practices, and supporting full software lifecycle management through DevSecOps pipelines. You will also ensure code quality, security, testing, and system performance while contributing to infrastructure automation, environment management, and compliance with DoD standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact data, analytics, and AI initiatives with direct national security relevance while operating in an Agile, mission-driven environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance - THIS IS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related technical discipline and 10+ years of fullstack Software Development experience.
Senior to SME level experience developing enterprise software solutions using modern programming languages; specifically Java and Python
Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Experience integrating software into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps environments (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, or similar).
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code (CaC).
Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
Experience operating within SAFe or Agile frameworks supporting enterprise systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance.
SAFe Agilist (SA) or related SAFe certification.
Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and container hardening standards.
Experience supporting software development across multi-enclave DoD environments.
Experience with cloud-native development in AWS GovCloud, C2S, SC2S, Azure, or GCP.
Experience contributing to enterprise-level architecture design decisions.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience integrating with data platforms, AI/ML services, or analytics systems.
Demonstrated expertise in secure software development practices and automated testing frameworks.
Experience implementing automated security scanning and compliance validation in pipelines.
Insight Global is hiring multiple candidates for this role so exact pay will vary based on candidates clearance level, depth of knowledge and experience, and overall job functions, but we expect to pay 170K - 220K for these roles along with comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits
