Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph to be considered.
Summary:
• Administer and support Oracle 19c databases, including Data Guard configuration, Fast-Start Failover (FSFO), patching, and RMAN backup/recovery.
• Monitor database health and performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Perform Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Conduct database design, modeling, and performance tuning.
• Analyze requirements for database migration and troubleshooting.
• Manage RAC and database security.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 10+ years
• Total Compensation: $300k+ yearly (tentative)
Job Description:
• Administer and support Oracle 19c databases in Data Guard configurations (primary/standby).
• Manage and maintain Oracle Data Guard using Data Guard Broker.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fast-Start Failover (FSFO) across distributed environments.
• Perform routine and emergency database patching (RU/CPU), including planning, testing, and validation.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Execute and validate switchover and failover operations, including database reinstatement.
• Troubleshoot Data Guard issues such as transport/apply lag, archive gaps, and broker errors.
• Maintain RMAN backup and recovery processes, including support for FRA and flashback features.
• Apply strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c on Linux (non-RAC).
• Demonstrate proven expertise with Data Guard Broker and FSFO in multi-standby environments.
• Utilize solid experience with Oracle patching and lifecycle management.
• Leverage working knowledge of OEM for monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.
• Apply experience with RMAN backup/recovery and Flashback Database.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Support multi-site observer configurations.
• Apply familiarity with performance tuning (AWR/ASH).
• Support high viability mission environments, including evening and weekend work as required.
