Secret Cleared Fire Control Technician
Location: Groton, CT (Onsite)

Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000 – $80,000/year (dependent on experience, education, and clearance status)
Overview:
Insight Global is seeking a Secret Cleared Fire Control Technician to support advanced submarine combat systems in Groton, CT. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting mission-critical defense systems in a high-impact environment.
This role is ideal for candidates with Navy Fire Control Technician or Submarine Combat Systems experience who are looking to transition into a government contracting role while continuing to work hands-on with complex systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of submarine combat control systems
Perform diagnostics, system evaluations, and corrective actions in line with military and engineering standards
Support testing, validation, and verification of hardware and software components
Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and engineering change implementation
Support disassembly, reassembly, and operational testing of combat system components
Develop and update technical documentation including maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guides
Serve as an on-site technical resource during system installs, testing, and engineering efforts
Ensure compliance with system specifications, procedures, and operational requirements
Required Qualifications:
Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain)
5+ years of relevant technical experience (military strongly preferred)
Hands-on experience working with submarine or shipboard combat systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
High attention to detail and commitment to mission success
Preferred Qualifications:
U.S. Navy Fire Control Technician (FT) background
Experience supporting submarine combat control or weapons systems
Familiarity with integrated hardware/software systems in a defense environment
