Job Description

• Company: Northrop Grumman
• Position: Network Engineer
• Location: 9975 Federal Drive
• Duration: long term, ongoing contract – we are a direct sub to the C2BMC program
• Clearance: Secret, will hold Top Secret if you already have it
• Program – C2BMC

"Essential Functions:
• Will serve as a Network Development Engineer, supporting build-out and deployments to the operational environment as needed
• Will work within an Agile Scrum team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements
• Will be a primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program
• Will be responsible for learning to plan, deploy, integrate, and test upgrades to the C2BMC network for operational sites and for helping where needed
• Will be responsible for traveling to remote locations to perform network installations, troubleshoot, and provide status updates to Program personnel
• Must be willing and able to assist with real-world events, including nights and weekends
• Must have and maintain a valid US passport

Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
• Must be a proficient communicator with strong writing and presentation skills, utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated engineers and independently at times on large field projects
• Must have knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies
• Must be proficient with the OSI Model, TCP/IP, and routing protocols BGP and OSPF
• Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
• Must have firewall knowledge in Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
• Must have knowledge of UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and TCP/IP network design
• Must have knowledge of multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimization, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment

Preferred Qualifications:
• Applicants with a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application are highly preferred"
