• Position: Project Engineer
• Location: 9975 Federal Drive
• Duration: long term, ongoing contract – we are a direct sub to the C2BMC program
• Clearance: Top Secret
• Program – C2BMC
"The Project Engineer will be responsible for working with the Task Order 60 (TO60) Leadership to manage, coordinate, and oversee the efforts of the cross-Agile Release Train and the Cross-Functional Product Team associated with TO60 projects, TO60 contract proposals, and Mods.
Essential Functions:
• Will support planning and execution of technical scope, schedule, and cost inputs for changes, ECPs, and other customer engineering estimate requests
• Will support the development of TO60 IMS objective evidence, the collection of IMS status accounting, and cross-spiral de-confliction, cross-functional area coordination, and schedule/resource issue resolution
• Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions
• Works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources
• Frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
Basic Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Project Management, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
• Experience with project planning, cost, schedule & performance
• Previous experience with development programs and deployment execution activities
• Proven leadership abilities to manage, coordinate, and oversee cross-functional area efforts associated with both the Sustainment and Development lifecycle management
Understanding the following:
• Planning, scheduling, project management, and EVMS
• Systems Engineering, Software Development, and Deployment
• Experienced in developing and managing project teams and schedules
• Experience in the Development Lifecycle and knowledge of spiral development processes"
