Location: Hybrid/Washington, DC.
There is an expectation that this role would be in the office initially, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid status of office/remote depending on the situation.
Clearance: No clearance required, must be a U.S. Citizen, cannot be a duel citizen. Candidate must be able to process for a "Public Trust T2" SEC clearance and pass a background check and drug screen.
Education/Experience: 8 Years of Experience, CCNA Data Center Certification or equivalent (required)

Job Description:
The Network Storage Engineer - Senior provides day-to-day administration, configuration, and deployment of the SAN fabric infrastructure and core network connectivity for SEC storage systems. This role manages all network connectivity to the Storage Area Network (SAN) and performs troubleshooting related to SAN connectivity and performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
SAN Fabric Administration
• Administer the day-to-day configuration and deployment of the fabric infrastructure and core network connectivity of the SAN.
• Manage all network connectivity to the SAN including Cisco MDS and Nexus platform administration.
• Configure and maintain zoning, port assignments, and fabric services across multi-site SAN environments.
• Perform all troubleshooting related to SAN connectivity, performance, and replication issues.
Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance
• Support hardware lifecycle activities for SAN switches including firmware upgrades, health monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with storage engineers on data migration, replication, and disaster recovery activities requiring fabric changes.
• Maintain SAN fabric documentation including topology diagrams, zoning tables, and configuration baselines.
• Participate in change management processes for all SAN fabric modifications.
Performance Monitoring and Capacity Planning
• Monitor SAN fabric performance metrics including throughput, latency, and error rates.
• Identify and resolve fabric congestion, buffer credit issues, and inter-switch link problems.
• Support capacity planning by tracking port utilization and forecasting growth requirements.
• Provide regular reporting on SAN fabric health, incidents, and operational metrics.
Cross-Team Collaboration
• Collaborate with storage, server, and virtualization teams to ensure end-to-end SAN connectivity and performance.
• Support disaster recovery exercises by validating SAN replication paths and failover connectivity.
• Coordinate with network engineering on integration points between LAN and SAN infrastructure.
• Contribute to architecture planning for storage modernization and technology refresh initiatives.
