Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Fighter Pilot Simulation SME to support high‑tempo, mission‑focused training operations. This is an onsite role at Nellis AFB. The ideal candidate will be local to Nellis or willing to travel frequently. This role is ideal for former military aviators with recent cockpit or mission experience who can translate real‑world tactics, sensors, and weapons employment into high‑fidelity simulation environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute 4–10 high‑intensity simulation missions per day, each approximately 30 minutes, in a fast‑paced training environment.
• Provide expert‑level support for air‑to‑air and air‑to‑ground mission sets, including weapons employment, dogfighting, and tactical decision‑making.
• Operate primarily in Red Air roles, with additional Blue Air support as required.
• Apply deep knowledge of sensor management, weapons systems, and long‑range target engagement, helping trainees build accurate 3D battlespace awareness.
• Think and act from an adversary perspective, replicating realistic threat tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Mentor and guide trainees on tactical execution, situational awareness, and mission planning considerations.
Compensation: $94-96/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
