ASRC Federal Advanced Research is currently seeking a Build Coordinator to support autonomy vehicle integrations in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Considering the state of the world today, military technical innovation is critical to defending our territories and those of our allies. The US Army is currently exploring advancements to equip ground combat forces with autonomous vehicle platforms. This effort presents a unique opportunity for civilians to participate in the research and development efforts that will shape future battlefield combat platforms.

Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the day-to-day execution of concurrent autonomous military vehicle prototype builds through all phases of assembly, integration, testing, and delivery.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Project Manager and production personnel to ensure program schedules, milestones, and customer deliverables are achieved.
- Monitor build progress and identify schedule risks, resource constraints, and technical issues that may impact program execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed vehicle build schedules, work packages, and integration plans in coordination with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, autonomy, and mission equipment integration activities to ensure efficient workflow and minimize production delays.
- Conduct daily production meetings to review build status, establish priorities, and communicate schedule requirements to technical teams.
- Track vehicle configuration status and ensure all engineering changes, modifications, and design updates are properly incorporated into vehicle builds.
- Verify required materials, components, tooling, and technical documentation are available to support scheduled build activities.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain personnel to resolve material shortages and expedite critical components.
- Monitor labor utilization and production capacity to ensure resources are aligned with program priorities and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues encountered during fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing activities.
- Ensure prototype builds are completed in accordance with approved engineering drawings, technical data packages, manufacturing instructions, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate vehicle inspections, quality audits, and build verification activities throughout the production process.
- Support vehicle checkout, troubleshooting, functional testing, and validation efforts prior to customer demonstrations and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of build status, labor hours, material usage, configuration changes, and production metrics.
- Prepare and present build status reports, schedule updates, and risk assessments to Project Managers and program leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve build efficiency, production flow, quality, and repeatability across prototype vehicle programs.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret Clearance from the Federal Government
- Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS, 25% annually.
- Associates degree or equivalent technical certifications and 5-7 years' experience in vehicle development.
