Location: Chantilly, VA
Clearance: TSSCI w/ CI Poly
Travel: 10% Conus
Must Haves:
• Active TSSCI with CI Poly
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years in total networking experience (design, configuring, documentation, testing)
• Hands on experience with Cisco and Juniper Switches
• Experience with Cisco Firepower and Juniper SRX 1600 firewalls
• Experience with Whatsup Gold or Juniper Apstra monitoring systems
D2D:
Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer to support a large federal customer of ours in Chantilly, VA. This role will be on site 5 days a week. This Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of the organization’s network infrastructure. Ensuring the stability and performance of the network. Maintain network reliability, resolve issues promptly, and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that networking systems support the organization's operational needs.
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and debugging complex network problems and recommending operational efficiency improvements
• Preventative maintenance (software/hardware/firmware upgrades) including security updates, performance upgrades and schedule maintenance.
• Work closely with the field engineers to simulate expected system level performance and provide quick feedback on potential improvement
• Originates design documents for small projects and in support of large programs
• Collaborate with engineers in preparation of Designs, including: Narrative Design Documents, Systems Designs, Subsystem Designs (CAD / Panels / Layouts / Wiring / Hardware / Communications)
• Preparation of test reports
• Commissioning of deployed systems
• Prepares cost estimates and supporting documents for projects - Documents the crucial working procedures and Troubleshooting of network operations.
$140,000 - $160,000
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
