Director Of Operations

Duties

• Serving as program manager for developing and executing all plans essential for the accomplishment of law enforcement, fire protection, Anti-Terrorism, Emergency Management, Security emergency operations.
• Develops overall Director of Operations (DOO) program goals and objectives and assesses and evaluates program execution.
• Garrison expert in coordinating installation plans with all major tenant units, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and state and local emergency management agencies.
• Directs the Garrison's security and intelligence programs.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

• This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes
(1) Implementing operational policies to ensure compliance with agency regulations;
(2) Developing operational plans to support mission objectives;
(3) Analyzing operational performance and budget data to recommend resource execution; and
(4) Coordinating operational requirements with internal and external stakeholders.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
