Must have - SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification

We are seeking a SAFe Product Owner (PO) to support Agile Release Train (ART) delivery efforts within Federal Government and DoD environments. This role serves as the primary liaison between Agile teams, Product Management, and stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with mission objectives and program priorities.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
4+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar Agile role
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification required
U.S. Citizenship required
Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
Responsibilities

Own, prioritize, and manage the Team Backlog
Define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items
Participate in PI Planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies
Ensure Agile teams understand business priorities and delivery expectations
Validate completed work against business and functional requirements
Support Product Management with feature refinement, roadmap alignment, and value delivery planning
Coordinate with technical teams, leadership, and Government stakeholders
Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and ART-level coordination
Maintain Agile documentation, reporting, dashboards, and delivery metrics
Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage backlog activities and documentation
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting Federal Government, DoD, or government contractor programs
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software development practices
Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills
