Summary

TTG Solutions is seeking a skilled VDI Engineer to design, implement, and manage virtual desktop infrastructure solutions. We are looking for an expert who can deliver high-performance, scalable, and secure VDI environments while integrating these solutions with cloud services.

Description

The VDI Engineer will be responsible for integrating VDI solutions with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for hybrid or cloud-native deployments. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure VDI solutions meet application and user requirements, troubleshooting complex VDI-related issues, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for VDI infrastructure. Additionally, staying informed about emerging VDI and cloud technologies and recommending improvements to the existing infrastructure are key tasks.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with a minimum of 11 years of work experience
• Experience with VDI solutions such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Strong understanding of hypervisors like Microsoft Hyper-V, AHV, VMware ESXi, or general VM hosting
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
• Familiarity with networking protocols, firewalls, and load balancers
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash, and automation tools like Ansible or Terraform
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Optional Skills

• Relevant certifications such as Citrix CCA, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or Microsoft MCSE
• Experience with cloud-based VDI solutions such as VMware Cloud on AWS or Citrix Cloud
• Knowledge of security best practices and technologies, including IAM, encryption, and threat detection
• Experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Citrix Director or Nutanix Prism
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD
• Experience with multiple VDI platforms and the ability to evaluate and recommend new solutions

Clearance

This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Benefits

Benefit	Details
Base Salary	$189,000 - $229,000
PTO	30 days annual PTO, which includes holidays.
Retirement	15% company retirement contribution. No match required. Vesting period is 50% per year over 2 years.
Paid Benefits	Company pays all insurance expenses up to 8% of base pay. If your insurance expenses are less that that, we bonus the difference to you.
Annual Bonuses	3% to 5% annual bonuses.
Cell Phone Stipend	$100 monthly phone expense reimbursement.
Training Budget	3 paid training days + $2,500 training budget
New Hire Bonus	$5,000 new hire bonus

Total compensation is the total combination of salary, benefits, retirement, bonuses, etc... and it is calculated using the following formula:

Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits Budget + Retirement + Bonus + Training Budget + Phone Stipend

Retirement	$34,350	15% company retirement contribution. No match required. Vesting period is 50% per year over 2 years.
Benefits Budget	$45,800	20% company paid Individual Benefits Account (12% for 30-days PTO, 8% for Insurances). If your insurance or PTO expenses are less than this, we bonus the difference to you.
Annual Bonus	$11,450	Annual bonus, 3% to 5% on average.
Training Budget	$2,500	Annual training budget.
Training Hours	$2,600	3 paid days for training.
Phone Stipend	$1,200	$100 monthly cell phone stipend.
