Secret Cleared Senior IT Specialist
-Worksite Norfolk VA 23511
-Format long term with Insight Global
-Rate $33-45/hour
Mandatory Qualifications:
-Education: Bachelor’s Degree
-Experience: 10+ years of relevant IT experience
-Certification: Security+ (Sec+)
Preferred Qualifications (one of the following):
-Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) - Routing and Switching
-Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
-Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)
-Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
-Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal IT system operations.
-Design and oversee upgrades and new installations of IT systems and services, ensuring coordination with Cyber Security Specialists.
-Execute Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networking.
Conduct Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management for:
-Internet Protocol (IP)
-Domain Name System (DNS)
-Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
-Routing protocols
-Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems to ensure sustained network operations or oversee recovery efforts.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Extensive experience (10+ years) with:
-Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6)
-Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
-Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
-Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs)
-Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
-Network Address Translation (NAT)
