Raytheon - Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) is seeking a Director, Program Management to support a highly visible complex area within the Electro-Optical and Infrared Solutions (EOIRS) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).

This Program Area has products in all phases of the product lifecycle with primary focus on domestic customers, including major primes, across ground and airborne domains. You will be expected to set strategy, vision and direction for a cross-functional team, including multiple direct reports, to ensure successful execution leading to the achievement of business objectives. You will be expected to drive focus on overall product affordability, product integrity, on-time deliveries while ensuring a team culture of trust and respect.

This role is onsite in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do
  • Lead a portfolio of programs consisting of multiple direct report program managers and a cross-functional organization responsible for day-to-day execution of all aspects of the portfolio
  • Coordinate and align interactions, dependencies, and transactions between customers and other primes
  • Accountable for Bookings, Sales, Profit, and Cash
  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) development and execution and program Estimate at Completions (EACs)
  • Manage risk, opportunity, cost, quality and schedule performance
  • Develop and execute program area growth strategies and drive continued productivity improvements
  • Understand and represent customer needs to leadership while building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and key suppliers
  • Champion development of program management talent and leadership capability within the organization
  • Travel up to 40% to support domestic and international business engagements


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
  • Execution experience leading production programs
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business processes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support) and/or administrative functions


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Program Management Level 3 Certification required to be obtained after onboarding
  • Program management experience across the product lifecycle (development, transition to production, production and/or sustainment programs)
  • Experience working with U.S. Army and/or Prime contractors on government programs (complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
  • Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies for franchise programs
  • Oversight and monitoring of supplier performance; develop preventive and corrective actions as necessary
  • An active and in-scope Secret U.S. government issued security clearance

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
