• Knowledge of computer hardware, applications, and troubleshooting for assigned technologies.
• Familiarity with basic electronic test equipment (DVM, oscilloscope, wattmeter).
• Understanding of communication concepts at System Admin Level 1 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and ability to update information in spreadsheets and proprietary systems.
• Experience in documenting technical workflows or procedures.
• Eligibility to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance and pass financial/criminal background checks.

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a team of IT Radio Technicians to support mission-critical communications for government and public safety clients in Washington, DC. This fully onsite role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in radio programming, RF concepts, telecommunications, and basic networking. Key responsibilities include programming radios, preparing kits for shipment, managing inventory, and supporting equipment audits and logistics. Daily tasks involve data entry, barcode scanning, and handling subscriber equipment. The technician will serve as the main contact for multiple customer sites, provide backup support to other technologists, and must be able to follow instructions and work independently after training.
Day to Day:
• Program mobile and portable radios, as well as supporting infrastructure
• Organize and prepare radio kits for shipment to customer sites.
• Enter and update data in MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Word forms, including barcode scanning for inventory tracking.
• Load and unload equipment pallets as part of shipping and receiving operations.
• Pick and pack radio system components and kits according to customer specifications.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of subscriber equipment.
• Support the receiving, handling, and dispatching of subscriber goods entering or leaving the facility.
• Provide Level 1 PC desktop support and basic system administration.
• Track and report on non-IT requests using dashboards and data visualization tools to drive visibility and efficiency across logistics workflows and SOPs
Compensation:
$30-$40/HR Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
