Who We Are

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is looking for a Supply Technician to support the NITE contract in Beaufort, SC. This onsite position will contribute to inventory control, storage operations, and the effective utilization of Government Property.

What You Will Do

• Perform material control functions, including the management of spares, support equipment, consumables, and bench stock.
• Determine, purchase, and maintain required quantities of on-site materials and supplies.
• Issue and track property, equipment, and supplies, including spares, repair parts, and tools, and maintain an accurate stock locator system.
• Obtain proper signatures for all issued materials.
• Identify property and equipment, assess condition and status, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Operate and maintain stockrooms in compliance with applicable directives, instructions, and standards.
• Safeguard all supplies and conduct periodic sample inventories of stockroom items.
• Maintain inventory records in the Inactive Equipment Maintenance System (IEMS) master database.
• Assist the Buyer with researching item availability, vendors, and cost information.
• Monitor requisitions and provide support throughout the procurement process.
• Prepare equipment, supplies, documents, and data for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in received shipments.
• Load, transport, and unload equipment and supplies to support operational, maintenance, overhaul, and logistics needs.
• Maintain organized files of all inbound and outbound shipping documentation.
• Use IEMS to manage supply functions and coordinate pickup and delivery of all orders.
• Follow established procedures to meet quality, safety, and security requirements.
• Comply with all applicable range regulations and operating instructions.
• Ensure proper control, storage, handling, documentation, and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor, maintain, and update bench stock requirements and special stock listings.
• Support timely delivery of materials and assist in monitoring supply and maintenance funds.
• Assist the Buyer with local and commercial purchasing activities.
• Establish and maintain supply accounts with the host base or site.
• Ensure proper implementation of the HAZCOMM Program and safe handling/storage of hazardous materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Must Have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Candidate must possess familiarity with Government Property regulations.
  • Candidate must possess a valid state Driver's License.
  • Candidate must have extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: procurement, shipping and receiving, or inventory control.
  • Candiadte must be a US Citizen.
  • Position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to have a previously held clearance reactivate or ability to obtain an interim clearance. Any employment offer is contingent upon successful clearance reactivation.


Physical Requirements

Ability to lift forty pounds, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes and work in high heat/cold environments, aboard ships, under industrial conditions, in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather. Ability to operate portable power tools. Work may involve climbing and working on ladders.
