The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Aviation Operations / UxS Planner who will support branch aviation operations and related administrative management for Global Operational Support and Threat (GOST) unmanned aircraft system (UAS) activities. The individual will coordinate and manage operational scheduling, airspace and range requests, aircrew training administration, and aviation records management to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient UAS operations in support of mission requirements and Government Flight Representative (GFR) oversight.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and publish weekly flight schedules in coordination with operational leadership and supported elements.
  • Submit, coordinate, and track airspace approvals and flight authorizations for all branch aviation operations.
  • Schedule and coordinate ranges and training areas in accordance with mission and flight requirements.
  • Maintain aviation administrative records, operational documents, flight logs, and associated tracking systems.
  • Support branch UAS operations through administrative coordination and operational planning functions.
  • Organize and administer aircrew training programs, qualification tracking, and readiness documentation.
  • Maintain proficiency and currency tracking for aircrew personnel to support GFR requirements and operational compliance.
  • Coordinate with pilots, instructors, operations personnel, and Government representatives to ensure aviation activities are properly documented and executed.
  • Monitor operational timelines, scheduling conflicts, and aviation support requirements to ensure mission continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable aviation SOPs, safety procedures, and organizational policies related to UAS operations.
  • Provide operational and administrative support during exercises, training events, and mission execution as required.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • BA/BS with 4+ years; AA/AS with 8+ years; or HS/GED with 10+ years.
  • Experience supporting aviation operations, UAS operations, or military flight operations.
  • Familiarity with flight scheduling, airspace coordination, and range scheduling processes.
  • Knowledge of aviation administrative procedures, records management, and training documentation.
  • Experience tracking aircrew qualifications, proficiency, and operational currency.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and administrative tracking systems.


Desired:
  • Hands-on experience with COTS multi-rotor and fixed-wing UAS platforms, including operational and hobbyist use.
  • FAA Part 107 Certification

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
