Network Administrator (2nd Shift)

Location: San Antonio, TX
Shifts/Schedule: Swing Shift – 2PM to 10PM, Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat
Contract/Perm: 9 month contract to hire,you will convert perm after 9 months
Clearance: Secret

Network Admin –
Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 4 years of relevant IT experience
- Alternatively: 8 years of hands-on experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
• Experience as a Network Administrator, including day to day management, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise network environments
• Proficiency with Cisco Call Manager and voice technologies, including configuration, maintenance, and support of VoIP systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Security+ certification required, demonstrating foundational cybersecurity knowledge and compliance awareness
• Cisco certifications or Cisco-focused experience preferred, especially in routing, switching, and unified communications
• Firewall experience a plus, including rule management, monitoring, and security policy enforcement

Day to Day:
The ideal candidate has proven experience as a Network Administrator, managing day to day network operations, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing enterprise environments. They should be proficient with Cisco Call Manager and voice technologies, including VoIP configuration, maintenance, and unified communications support. Strong, practical experience with Cisco routers and switches is essential, covering installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning. An active Security+ certification is required to demonstrate foundational cybersecurity knowledge, while Cisco certifications or Cisco focused expertise are preferred. Experience working with firewalls—such as rule management, monitoring, and enforcing security policies—is considered a valuable plus.
