MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
Maximum Military Grade - MSG (E-8) with date of rank after 4 August 2021
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must possess experience, education or training which demonstrates your knowledge of electrical or electronic theory, knowledge of common testing procedures, skill in the use of hand tools of the electronics trade, and skill in reading schematic.
WG-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience that demonstrates your ability to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain complex electronic systems where circuit theory must be used to understand the operation of individual circuits; skill in developing new test and repair procedures for which none exists, and when possible, improve existing procedures. The specialized experience must also demonstrate an understanding of the interaction of a number of complex, interrelated circuits to determine the cause of the malfunction and the interaction of various factors. Experience that demonstrates skill in interpreting complex drawings, specifications, and schematics of complete systems to recognize the function and interconnections of the various assemblies. Skill in using a wide variety of electronic test equipment such as systems test sets, frequency meters, standing wave indicators, oscillators, ohmmeters, voltmeters, resistance bridges, and signal generators.

- Troubleshoots, inspects, installs, maintains, overhauls, repairs, and modifies complete operational systems consisting of numerous complex integral components.
- Completes operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of line replaceable unit (LRU).
- Isolates unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automatic test equipment.
- Solves problems by analyzing installation, circuitry, and operating characteristics of the systems.
- Adjusts and aligns sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, actuators, servos, computers and other related components.
- Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units.
- Reassembles unit after repair, performs alignment and makes shop checks.
- Conducts debriefing of aircrews.
- Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures.
- Guides lower-level mechanics in performance of tasks.
- Conducts on-the-job training on assigned systems and related support equipment and tasks to include classroom instruction as necessary.
- Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets.
- Ensures that material and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained.
- Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination.
- This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in the Missouri National Guard prior to the effective date of placement.
- Placement or baseline physical are required for newly hired or appointed Wage Grade personnel who may be potentially exposed to health hazards in the work environment.

- Employment can be terminated with a 30 day notice.
- In the event a permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employee is selected, and is willing to accept the indefinite appointment, that employee will relinquish permanent status.
- This position is authorized to be filled as long as the reimbursable funds are available.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

- May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate, to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Must have or be able to obtain government license to operate vehicles up to 1 ton in the performance of duties.
