The Network Cabling Technician (1+ Year Temporary Hire) will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a variety of wired systems across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge to include a variety of Networking technologies, including Fiber Optic Cable Testing, Copper Wire replacement, VoIP and legacy phone systems.

The Network Cabling Technician (1+ Year Temporary Hire) will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a variety of wired systems across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge to include a variety of Networking technologies, including Fiber Optic Cable Testing, Copper Wire replacement, VoIP and legacy phone systems.
Responsibilities
- Available for a long-term temporary role (1+ year) with potential for full-time hire.
- Designs and installs well-functioning computer networks, connections and cabling.
- Performs troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network.
- Inspects LAN infrastructure and fixes minor or major issues.
- Evaluates network performance and find ways of improvement for wired cable infrastructure.
- Organizes and schedules upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their own work.
Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED.
- Minimum Interim Secret is required.
- Experience working with LAN cable replacement and troubleshooting.
- COMPTIA Security+CE (IAT-Level II) certification or COMPTIA NET+ Certification.
- Great attitude and strong communication skills.
Desired Qualification:
- Active Secret Level Clearance.
