• Position: Software Applications Test Engineer
• Location: Colorado Springs or Huntsville
• Duration: long term, ongoing contract – we are a direct sub to the C2BMC program
• Clearance: Secret, will hold TS if you already have it
• Program – C2BMC
"As member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will participate in software design and peer reviews, develop test specifications and infrastructure, execute manual and automated test and perform analysis of C2BMC implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations (e.g., Internal Messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing).
Essential Functions:
• Will possess knowledge and experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in a variety of test environments/venues, using Agile development
• This position will require a strong, self-starting individual capable of diving into problems, with assistance from other test engineers and software developers
Basic Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Occasional travel between Colorado Springs facilities and sites (LM Federal Drive facility to Schriever SFB) and between Colorado Springs and Huntsville, AL.
Required Experience/Knowledge for the Test:
• Prior experience in an Agile development process
• Prior experience testing and verifying requirements for software applications and systems
• Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data
• Development of action plans based on data analysis
• Documenting software deficiency reports
• Presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report)
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in a small technical team environment
• Automated testing for requirement verification
• Performance requirement and verification analysis
• Verification of ICD and interface requirements
• Prior experience in an Agile development process
• Prior experience in testing and verifying requirements for software applications and systems
• Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data
• Development of action plans based on data analysis
• Documenting software deficiency reports
• Presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report)
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills enabling him/her to work effectively in a small technical team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Applicants with a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application are highly preferred, or the certification must be obtained within 40 days of the start date. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period
