Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Embedded RF Engineer to support the development, integration, and field deployment of advanced SDR and FPGA-based systems. This individual will work at the intersection of hardware and software, helping to bring emerging technologies from early-stage prototypes through real-world operational environments. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone experienced with embedded systems, RF signal processing, and FPGA-based platforms who enjoys working in fast-paced, iterative development and testing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and integrate embedded software solutions into FPGA-based hardware systems (e.g., Xilinx SoC/RFSoC platforms)
-Support development and optimization of Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems, including low-cost and size-constrained hardware platforms
-Analyze and monitor RF signals and spectrum activity, including identifying anomalies and supporting real-time signal assessment
-Execute field testing and evaluation of systems, including troubleshooting and mitigating risk in operational environments
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on system capabilities based on user feedback and mission needs
-Support development and deployment of containerized applications (e.g., Docker) for testing and system validation
-Travel to different field and testing events up to 25% of the time
$57hr to $70hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
