TS/SCI Poly System Administrator – Chantilly, VA (Onsite)
Salary: $140,000 – $160,000
Insight Global is hiring a System Administrator / Network Engineer to support a large federal customer in Chantilly, VA. This is a fully onsite role (5 days/week) supporting mission-critical infrastructure in a highly secure environment.
This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance across the environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
-Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure
-Maintain network reliability and proactively resolve performance issues
-Perform preventative maintenance (patching, upgrades, security updates)
-Troubleshoot and debug complex network issues, recommending improvements
-Partner with field engineers to simulate system performance and optimize solutions
-Support design efforts including system, subsystem, and network documentation
-Contribute to design documentation (layouts, wiring, hardware, communications)
-Execute system testing, commissioning, and validation activities
-Prepare test reports and project cost estimates
-Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Required Qualifications:
-Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
-7+ years of hands-on networking experience (design, configuration, testing, documentation)
-Experience with Cisco and Juniper switches
-Experience with Cisco Firepower and Juniper SRX 1600 firewalls
-Experience with network monitoring tools such as WhatsUp Gold or Juniper Apstra
