Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph within the last 7 years to be considered.
Summary:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.
• Manage and build CI/CD pipelines, providing automation, scripting, and monitoring support.
• Utilize expertise in Linux system administration, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Bash, Python, Javascript, Apache NiFi, Grafana, Kibana, and Jenkins.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 14+ years
• Total Compensation: $282k+ yearly
Job Description:
• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
• Works individually or as part of a team.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
• Key skills include Software Development, Software Testing, Requirements Analysis, Systems Engineering, DevOps, Continuous Integration/Delivery, Workflow automation, Linux, Systems Administration (Linux), Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Bash, Python, Javascript, NiFi, Grafana, Kibana, and Jenkins/Hudson.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Linux system administration experience (file system manipulation, monitoring and logging, troubleshooting; experience with command line tools: ps, netstat, top, SSH, grep)
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, automation and monitoring of tools and processes
• Kubernetes experience with the understanding of deployment, management, and configuration
• Docker experience (deployment, management, and configuration)
Desired Skills/Experience (but Highly Preferred):
• Cloud computing skills (AWS)
• Experience with scripting tools (bash, python, JavaScript, etc.)
• Experience building and supporting VMs (preferably experience using one of the customer’s corporate solutions)
Desired Skills/Experience:
• Experience with Apache NiFi
• Experience with visualization/reporting tools (Grafana, Kibana, etc.)
• Experience with Jenkins
