Chugach is seeking a Project Manager 1 (Engineer) to serve in an interdisciplinary oversight role for the Coastal Sentinel program. The primary role for Project Manager 1 (Engineer) is to provide the day-to-day program management support to the Coastal Sentinel Program and NIWC this position requires demonstrated expertise in project management. The position is based in the Washington, DC area, with occasional travel as needed.

Job Overview

Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Lead and manage enterprise-level U.S. Coast Guard intelligence and maritime domain awareness projects supporting the Coastal Sentinel Program, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Define project scope, objectives, schedules, and deliverables while coordinating with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure mission alignment and feasibility.
- Develop and maintain project plans, tracking tools, reports, and documentation in accordance with Coast Guard and federal standards.
- Monitor project performance, manage risks, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and mission effectiveness.
- Communicate project status, issues, and solutions to leadership and stakeholders while supporting short- and long-term program goals.
- Develop process maps, dashboards, and analytical reports to support operational planning and decision-making.
- Perform additional program and mission support duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on various analysis.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through project debrief with clients.
- Document all estimates, project statuses, and project completion paperwork.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
- 15+ years of relevant intel operations experience.
- Currently hold a TOP SECRET Security Clearance or higher.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug screening.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree a plus
- PMP a plus
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time position in support of the USCG Acquisition team lead.
- The work will be performed at Washington DC. Travel of up to ten percent of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- This role is largely sedentary
