The Opportunity:
Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

Pay Range :
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Architecture Design: Author, review, and maintain repeatable, comprehensive System Architecture and system design documentation for IT environments.
- Requirements Engineering: Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level architectures/visions to derive formal, testable system requirements.
- Hybrid Environment Engineering: Architect and optimize complex infrastructures operating both on-premises (bare-metal/virtualized) and off-premises.
- Feasibility & Trade Studies: Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative technical approaches, and conduct rigorous technical feasibility studies.
- Integration Leadership: Serve as the technical lead for the seamless integration of requirements, system design, and emerging technologies.
- Verification & Validation Oversight: Guide system development and implementation planning by authoring and executing system integration and test plans.
- Government & Executive Liaison: Interface directly with senior executives regarding complex Engineering considerations, technical roadblocks, or architectural conflicts.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, and technical teams to align architectural vision with execution schedules.
- High-Level Documentation: Facilitate technical alignment by authoring, updating, and defending technical documentation in technical exchange meetings (TEMs).
Qualifications:
Required:
- Hands-on experience in Systems Engineering and IT Architecture.
- Proven track record of designing and managing technical architectures for both on-premises enterprise data centers and cloud environments.
Demonstrated expert-level experience engineering complex Network infrastructure and End-User computing solutions at scale. - Mastery in authoring formal Systems Engineering artifacts, including CONOPS, SRS, SDDs, SEMPs, and Test Plans.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with explicit experience briefing senior executives on complex problems and architectural trade-offs.
Education and Experience:
- 14 years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- 5 years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Desired:
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP).
- AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), CCNP, or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
