Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining encryption solutions that safeguard data at rest and in transit across DoD systems.
- Manage the full lifecycle of encryption keys, supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) operations, and ensure compliance with federal cryptographic standards such as FIPS 140-2 and DoD 8570.01-M.
- Configure and maintain encryption technologies, including hardware security modules (HSMs), and support secure communications protocols across classified and unclassified environments.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to integrate encryption into broader security architectures and to support secure access, authentication, and data protection strategies.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of encryption at rest solutions and participate in audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities.
- Contribute to documentation, SOPs, and continuous improvement of encryption and PKI services.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in IT or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6-8 years in an IT related field.
- Active IAT Level II certification or equivalent.
- Strong technical expertise in cryptographic technologies and a working knowledge of DoD security policies and compliance frameworks.
Desired Qualifications:
- Preferred Certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); Certified Encryption Specialist (EC-Council ECES); CompTIA Security+
- Preferred Major in Information Technology.
