Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and support of encryption technologies and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems across DoD environments.
- Administer encryption keys, certificates, and secure communications protocols to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and compliance with DoD and federal security standards.
- Support the deployment, configuration and maintenance of encryption at rest and in transit solutions, including integration with hardware security modules (HSMs) and PKI systems.
- Monitor system logs, perform routine audits, and assist in responding to security incidents involving encrypted data or authentication services.
- Collaborate with engineers and cybersecurity personnel to enforce encryption policies, manage certificate lifecycles, and maintain documentation and SOPs.
- Ensure secure access and communications across classified and unclassified networks.
- Familiarity with DoD 8570.01-M requirements and experience with enterprise encryption tools are essential.
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in IT or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4-6 years in an IT related field.
- Must possess current IAT Level II certification or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications:
- Preferred Certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) CompTIA Security+
- Preferred Major in Information Technology.
