Position Overview
Seeking a skilled Systems / Network Administrator to support enterprise IT infrastructure within a secure environment. This role will focus on systems administration, virtualization, and network operations, including routing protocols, firewall management, and secure communications.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
6+ years with a Bachelor’s degree OR 10+ years without (IT, systems, or network-focused experience)
Certifications:
CompTIA Security+ (required)
Additional networking certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required
Core Technical Skills
Systems Administration:
Strong experience with Active Directory (user administration, group policy, domain services)
Experience supporting enterprise Windows environments
Virtualization:
Hands-on experience with VMware or equivalent virtualization platforms
Networking:
Solid understanding of IP networking and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining network infrastructure
Security & Infrastructure:
Experience with firewall technologies (Cisco ASA or similar)
Familiarity with cryptographic devices and secure communications (KG-175D or similar preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DoD or federal environments
Knowledge of secure network architecture and compliance standards
Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring, patching, and system hardening
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain enterprise IT systems, including servers, virtualization, and directory services
Support network operations, including routing, switching, and firewall configurations
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
Maintain security posture through compliance, patching, and access control
Support secure communications infrastructure and cryptographic devices
