JOB SUMMARY

This MAPA position will assist the Government Fraud, Anti-Corruption, and Civil Rights Intelligence Unit (GACIU). The MAPA for the Government Fraud, Anti-Corruption, and Civil Rights Intelligence Unit (GACIU) is vital to supporting priority threats including Health Care Fraud and Fraud Against the Government.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Analyze and evaluate administrative programs for CRM executives. Ensure administrative procedures are consistent and in compliance for the Division, concerning administrative related matters; make recommendations for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex administrative program matters that are in conformance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Gather, compile and evaluate various data and information to determine best practices, improve business processes, and provide recommendations. Advise executives, managers, and operational personnel based on planning, research, analysis, and administrative management functions.
  • Coordinate the schedule for executive management and ensure all administrative requirements are met. Receive visitors and callers, respond to inquiries involving administrative matters, and refer all matters to the appropriate source. Engagement with high-level executives will occur daily in this position, professional demeanor and communication is a must.
  • Ensure document and records management processes are uniform for the CRM. Maintain and improve active records, develop and update file plans, oversee removal and storage in closed files, in accordance with federal and Bureau records management policies and procedures.
  • Receive and review directives from higher authority, determine action required, and refer to appropriate staff element. May guide or train employees in performance of their duties. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Specialized Experience (SE)

GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
  • Expert knowledge in the application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and/or the improvement of complex management processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Expert knowledge of applicable theories, principles, practices, approaches, and techniques of research, survey methodology, and analysis concepts.
  • Analytical ability to design and conduct comprehensive management and/or program studies where the boundaries are broad and difficult to determine and to develop logical, clear, and well-documented recommendations and conclusions.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct teams and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations.

    • Memorandum for Record (MFR): Work performed outside assigned duties (that would not normally be documented on an SF-50, i. e., back-up duties), has to be documented in detail by an immediate supervisor in order to receive full credit for amount of time worked in that position. If no documentation is furnished no credit will be given for time worked in that position. The following notations must be specified in the documentation:
      • Percent of time worked in the particular position (cannot conflict with main duties.
      • The month/year work began
        Frequency worked (i.e., daily, monthly, etc.)
      • Specific duties performed

    • The FBI is in the Executive Branch of the federal government. It is one of the components of the Department of Justice (DOJ). The FBI is the principle investigative arm of the DOJ. All FBI positions are in the excepted service.
