Director – Aerospace & Defense Business Operations**

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced business and program leadership professional to oversee a growing portfolio supporting advanced national security and aerospace initiatives. This leadership role will guide cross-functional teams delivering secure networking, cyber defense, encrypted communications, mission-critical data transport, and high-assurance security technologies for globally deployed systems.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience supporting classified aerospace or defense programs involving satellite communications, space-based platforms, secure infrastructure, and mission assurance environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and expand a portfolio of highly technical defense and aerospace programs
* Drive operational execution, customer engagement, and strategic growth initiatives
* Partner across internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-value mission solutions
* Identify and capture new business opportunities adjacent to existing programs
* Manage performance metrics, financial reporting, and operational objectives to maximize program success
* Communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and government customers
Required Experience
* Background supporting satellite systems, aerospace missions, or secure space technologies
* Experience with high-assurance cybersecurity, cryptographic systems, and certification/accreditation environments
* Ability to balance execution speed, customer priorities, and operational process requirements
* Strong leadership capabilities with a collaborative and action-oriented management style
* Experience operating within compartmented or highly classified environments
* Familiarity with Agile-based development environments
Preferred Background
* Established relationships within aerospace, avionics, cybersecurity, networking, or cryptographic communities
* Demonstrated success building or scaling technical business operations
* Strong analytical and business management capabilities
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree required
* 13+ years of leadership experience in defense, aerospace, or related technical environments
* Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required at time of hire
