Job Description

ASE is looking for an Interior Communications Shipboard Installation Coordinator to work in Suffolk, VA. US Navy shipboard alteration installation assistant coordinator. Coordinate communication and resources between government activities, contractors, and shipyards ensuring all reporting requirements and deliverables are met. Similarly, interact and work with senior management while collaborating with subject matter experts, field engineers, and industry partners to solve highly technical problems to meet ship and shore installation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Interior Communications (IC) Voice Installation Coordinator in coordinating communication and resources between government activities, contractors, and shipyards.
  • Assist the IC Voice Installation Coordinator in ensuring all reporting requirements and deliverables are met.
  • Assist the IC Voice Installation Coordinator in maintaining RMMCO (Regional Maintenance and Modernization Coordination Office) requirements for the Interior Communications Voice Program to include RMMCO Check-In and Check-Out.
  • Develop and maintain Installation Plans, track Modernization Milestones, and analyze various reports and documents to identify issues that may impact IC Voice Installations.
  • Review Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM), and other installation status reporting documents for completeness, identification, and resolution of issues and on time delivery.
  • Create and develop Situation Reports (SITREPs) to keep higher management abreast. Analyze all these documents to identify trends and issues that may impact IC Voice installations.
  • Create and develop AIT (Alteration Installation Team) QAWBs (Quality Assurance Workbooks) for the Interior Communications Voice Program.
  • Create and develop Training Installation and Transfer Agreements (TITAs) for the IC Voice Program for School-house Installations and Trainers.
  • Create and develop Fleet Readiness Certifications Boards (FRCB) Packages for the IC Voice Program for School-house Installations and Trainers.
  • Create and develop Naval Facilities (NAVFAC) Work Permit Packages for the IC Voice Program for School-house Installations and Trainers.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, field engineers, and industry partners in solving highly technical problems to meet ship and shore installation requirements.
  • Interact and work with senior management.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • No less than 15 years of Navy shipboard experience.
  • BS or BA degree.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Must be capable of reviewing and analyzing Earned Value Management reports to track Budgeted cost, Actual cost and Variances.
  • Must be able to understand and adhere to Naval instructions and procedures.
  • Must be able to advise on risks and suggest corrective actions.
  • Must be able to perform duties independently.
