Position Overview
Join us in our support to the US Space Force (HQ USSF) Commercial Satellite Communication (COMSATCOM) Office (CSCO), where you will help shape the future of assured, resilient SATCOM for our warfighters and mission partners. As a key member of a highly collaborative, mission-focused team, you will apply your expertise to help deliver innovative commercial SATCOM capabilities, integrate a transformative COMSATCOM business model into the broader SATCOM enterprise, and translate complex operational needs into effective, affordable solutions. In this role, you will work directly with COMSATCOM customers and stakeholders, providing trusted guidance, insightful analysis, and clear recommendations that drive real-world impact in a rapidly evolving space domain. The salary range for this role is $85,000- $115,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Responsibilities
- Support financial and acquisition activities for current and future COMSATCOM efforts, with focus on cost, schedule, performance, and funding execution.
- Assist in the development, review, and staffing of program and acquisition documents, including Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), project outlines, and other financial planning artifacts.
- Advise clients on Support client teams on budgeting, accounting, cost accounting, obligation tracking, and related financial process improvement activities under the guidance of the senior financial analyst.
- Assist with implementation and sustainment of internal control activities consistent with the Federal Managers' Financial Integrity Act and applicable federal financial requirements.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and recommend findings and recommendations to the senior analyst and program leadership
- Monitor project financial status and provide clear, timely reporting to client stakeholders on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, as required.
- Provide guidance on Support funds management, obligation and expenditure tracking, and accounting matters in accordance with applicable federal and DoD requirements.
- Coordinate across government, contractor, and mission stakeholders to ensure financial documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with program objectives.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned in support of mission and client priorities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of government financial management experience, preferably supporting DoD or other federal agencies.
- Demonstrated proficiency with financial management systems, databases, and analytical tools.
- Working knowledge of federal acquisition and financial management principles, including FAR and government pricing procedures.
- Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders while managing multiple priorities and deadlines under direction of senior staff.

- Ability to support on-site client meetings within the National Capital Region
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with federal appropriations law and funds execution in a federal or defense environment.
- Knowledge of COMSATCOM program financial structures or experience supporting a Working Capital Fund environment.
- Experience developing financial reports, spend plans, or status of fund documents for government program offices.
- Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with clients and cross functional teams.
