Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly Clearance
Support and maintain secure Department of Defense (DoD) information systems within classified environments by administering Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, executing Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, performing vulnerability management, and ensuring continuous compliance with cybersecurity and security control requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain secure Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments supporting classified DoD programs.
- Support Information System (IS) Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities including system categorization, package preparation, security control implementation, and continuous monitoring.
- Perform weekly system audits, media reviews, and hardware/software configuration management activities.
- Execute monthly vulnerability scans using ACAS/Nessus and coordinate remediation efforts with technical teams.
- Utilize security assessment and hardening tools including SCAP Compliance Checker and STIG Viewer.
- Support Change Control processes, system upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance activities.
- Conduct security testing and evaluation to validate implementation of security controls.
- Assess, track, and mitigate system vulnerabilities throughout the system lifecycle.
- Review and analyze security event and information management (SIEM) data and audit user accounts.
- Perform incident response, containment, and cleanup activities in accordance with customer and company procedures.
- Ensure systems are operated and maintained in compliance with System Security Plans (SSP), security policies, and DoD requirements.
- Support Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures and secure data handling processes.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Active Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph at time of hire.
- Hands-on experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and system hardening tools including:
- ACAS / Nessus
- SCAP Compliance Checker
- STIG Viewer
- Understanding of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and vulnerability remediation processes.
- Experience supporting RMF, continuous monitoring, and Information Assurance (IA) activities.
- Ability to install, configure, secure, and maintain servers in classified environments.
- Experience executing configuration management and audit review activities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification preferred (Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC, etc.).
- Ability to support on-site classified program work in Scottsdale, AZ.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting classified DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
- Experience with SIEM review and security event analysis.
- Knowledge of incident response procedures within secure environments.
- Experience identifying automation or AI-driven improvements for cybersecurity operations.
