Job Description
Akima Systems Engineering is looking for a Task Lead for our SOF OPERATIONS TRAINING READINESS INTEGRATION AND GOVERNANCE team at MacDill AFB, FL. This position is the primary onsite lead for daily synchronization of workforce activities, monitoring output quality, ensuring timely execution, validating personnel readiness, and managing global contractor deployment. The TL works onsite at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) and interfaces directly with the COR on operational matters.

Responsibilities
Daily Contract Execution & Workforce Synchronization (All Required)
- Manage day-to-day tasking, priorities, and suspense tracking
- Maintain real-time visibility of task status and mission coverage
- Balance workload across personnel based on changing requirements
- Monitor quality, timeliness, and professionalism of all deliverables
Government Interface & Contract Performance (All Required)
- Primary on-site liaison to the COR
- Direct involvement in:
- Contract compliance
- Performance monitoring
- Travel impact / cost control coordination
- Working knowledge of government services contract execution
Personnel Readiness & Operational Continuity (All Required)
- Track:
- Workforce availability
- Coverage gaps
- Surge support requirements
- Resolve:
- Administrative delays
- Performance barriers
- Tasking conflicts
- Ensure alignment to government-approved schedules and priorities
Program Reporting & Upward Communication (all required)
- Produce weekly execution status to Program Manager
- Provide:
- Risk identification
- Mitigation recommendations
- Performance insights
- Synchronize site activities with off-site leadership
Team Leadership & Quality Control (all required)
- Lead and motivate multi-functional contractor workforce
- Enforce documentation accuracy and deliverable standards
- Maintain high operational tempo with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years within the last 10 years of operations management or team leadership on a DoD / federal services contract with a minimum of 2 consecutive years experience; OR Military or Civil Service equivalent experience in direct operations and/or team management.
- Direct customer-facing experience with Government representatives (COR / functional lead)
- Proven ability to lead daily on-site execution at a secure installation (MacDill AFB-type environment).
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
