MISSION: Purpose is to direct the Secretary of the Army (SecArmy) to disestablish the Joint Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) Office (JCO) and to establish a Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF 401) that reports to the Deputy Secretary of Defense, to better align authorities and resources to rapidly deliver Joint C-sUAS capabilities to America's warfighters, defeat adversary threats, and promote sovereignty over national airspace.
Seeking a Senior C-UAS Operations/Research Analyst to support the Joint Inter-Agency Task Force 401 (JIATF401), responsible for leading the Department of War’s Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) effort. The Analyst will work under general supervision with a degree of independence, leveraging technical skills and comprehensive knowledge in C-UAS operations across various warfighting domains to include: Fixed Site (Air Force and Navy Ashore), Maritime (Navy Afloat and Army Watercraft), and Ground (Army and Marines).This role requires expertise in analyzing service-specific requirements, operational concepts, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for C-UAS employment.
What You’ll Get to Do:
• Provide expertise and operational analysis for C-UAS operations across various warfighting domains.
• Conduct operational analysis of C-UAS threats, vulnerabilities, and capability gaps within assigned domain.
• Develop and recommend domain-specific C-UAS solutions, integration strategies, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with service component representatives, Joint staff, and interagency partners to ensure C-UAS capabilities meet domain-specific operational requirements.
• Support test events, training exercises, and vulnerability assessments with domain expertise.
• Prepare analytical reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior leaders and stakeholders.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• MA/MS with 10+ years’ experience; BA/BS with 15+ years; AA/AS with 17+ years; or HS/GED with 19+ years.
• Proven track record of effectively collaborating with senior officer leadership within a military environment, demonstrating the ability to communicate complex technical and operational concepts clearly and concisely to high-ranking officials.
• Expertise in current and historical UAS threats and Counter Systems, with a deep understanding of their evolution, capabilities, and operational impacts across various military domains.
• Experience with using technical knowledge to inform/instruct others about the technology, capabilities, and limitations, and impacts to DOW capabilities.
• Experienced with leading small teams independently and interacting with other organizations and military units.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications and intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.
