COMMUNICATIONS LEAD

POSITION OVERVIEW


The Communications Lead provides expert support to the Program Integration Office (PIO), HQ AFGSC, and DoD in all communications and information technology efforts related to the B-21 bed-down, participating in the design and execution of Network/IT infrastructure while delivering analysis, risk assessments, and solutions to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and security. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and a highly experienced IT and information assurance professional with a minimum of five years in Multi-Level Secure (MLS) or Special Access Program (SAP) network management, five years of classified information systems experience, and demonstrated proficiency across a broad range of technical disciplines, including System Security Plans, cross-domain security solutions, classified IS incident resolution, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)/JSIG implementation, router and firewall configuration, VoIP infrastructure, High Assurance Internet Protocol Equipment (HAIPE), and database management platforms such as Access, SQL, and Oracle. Candidates must hold at minimum a DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management Level II certification and IS Security Professional certification, with DoD 8140.01 credentials, Special Security Officer (SSO) experience, and component command-level leadership experience considered highly desirable.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supports PIO, HQ AFGSC, and DOD bed-down of B-21 efforts as they pertain to all communications and information technology and their infrastructure.

  • Participates in design and execution of Network/Information Technology (IT) bed-down, provides analysis and reports on status, risks, and proposed solutions.

  • Works with and provides guidance to host wing, PIO, HQ AFGSC, and DoD Communication/IT professionals to ensure compliance, effectiveness, timeliness, and security of communications bed-down. Generates reports when requested to support this advice.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

  • Shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience with Multi-Level Secure (MLS) or Special Access Program (SAP) network management/maintenance and at least two (2) different automated cross-domain security solutions.

  • Component command (or equivalent) or higher level or managerial experience highly desired.

  • Minimum DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management Level II certified.

  • Minimum Information Systems (IS) Security Professional or equivalent certified.

  • Minimum of five (5) years classified information systems experience.

  • DoD 8140.01 IS and Information Assurance (IA) certifications highly desired.

  • Special Security Officer (SSO) experience highly desired.

  • JSIG related RMF implementation experience highly desired.

  • Shall be experienced and proficient in developing and implementing System Security Plans, to include security upgrades and emerging higher-level security requirements.

  • Shall be experienced in classified IS management.

  • Shall be experienced in resolving classified IS security incidents.

  • Shall be experienced in uploading and downloading data across classified networks operating at different levels of classification, and control/recording of all incoming and outgoing digital media.

  • Shall be experienced in self-assessment with Management Internal Control Toolset.

  • Shall have experience in developing and critically reviewing information assurance and cyber security documentation.

  • Shall have experience in managing databases to include: Access, Structured Query Language, and Oracle.

  • Shall have experience in all aspects of managing Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Shall have experience developing standardized procedures for account establishment, system maintenance, and system recovery.

  • Shall have experience designing, installing, and maintaining advanced router and firewall configurations used to isolate network traffic in order to maintain security.

  • Shall have knowledge of, and experience implementing, DoD and Air Force Technology. regulations, services, and instructions to ensure communications and computer services are in compliance with applicable regulations and instructions.

  • Shall have experience developing network standard operating procedures and implementing audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and applying security-related software tools to manage and control classified information systems.

  • Shall have working knowledge to manage/maintain Voice over Internet Protocol infrastructure and Chat applications.

  • Shall have minimum 2 years working knowledge of High Assurance Internet Protocol Equipment devices.

  • Shall have minimum 2 years experience with information protection network domains, network segmentation, and network management tools.

  • Highly desired experience integrating nuclear command, control, and communications systems.
