Job Description
The Mission
Pavati Solutions is at the forefront of ensuring that AI isn't just "built," but is trusted, resilient, and mission ready. We are seeking a Senior AI IV&V Engineer to serve as a Team Lead embedded directly with our customer.
This is a high visibility leadership role. You will be the primary bridge between algorithm developers across the IC/DoD and the accreditation authorities. Your job is to design the frameworks that validate AI models and navigate the complex path to getting those models accredited for operational use.

What You’ll Do
Lead the IV&V Strategy: Architect comprehensive evaluation frameworks for a wide range of AI models. You ensure that performance, bias, and robustness are measured against rea -world mission requirements.
Drive Accreditation: Act as the technical lead in the accreditation process. You will review model cards, data lineage, and test designs to ensure they meet NIST AI RMF and DoD/IC governance standards.
Algorithm Partnership: Work alongside developers from various agencies to "pre-validate" their models, identifying risks early and providing the roadmap to successful deployment.
Stakeholder Management: Translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable briefings for senior government decision makers.
Contractor Lead: Oversee the day to day operations of the IV&V team, ensuring technical excellence and mission alignment.
Who You Are
A Seasoned AI Practitioner (9–13+ years): You have a deep background in AI/ML development or T&E. (We value advanced degrees: a Master's or PhD can substitute for 2–3 years of experience).
The "Accreditation Expert": You understand that "it works on my machine" isn't enough. You know how to prove a model is safe, reliable, and ethical in a mission environment.
Effective Leader: You can lead a technical team and handle high pressure interactions with government customers and external agency partners.
Technical & Leadership Pillars
General AI/ML Mastery: Strong understanding of the ML lifecycle across various domains.
Evaluation Frameworks: Expertise in ML metrics, adversarial testing, and uncertainty quantification.
Governance & Risk: Deep familiarity with AI RMF (NIST), DevSecOps, and government accreditation workflows (RMF/ATO for AI).
Technical Tooling: Proficiency in Python and standard ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) to perform independent validation scripts.
Communication: Exceptional ability to document findings and present technical risks to non-technical mission leaders.
