Job Description

Field Service Engineer (TS/SCI)
Overview
We are seeking TS/SCI-cleared Field Service Engineers to support a large, mission‑critical defense program. This role involves hands-on technical support for advanced systems and payloads in a dynamic, fast‑paced operational environment.
The selected candidate will complete approximately six months of training in San Diego, CA, followed by onsite work in Mayport, FL. You will be part of a team responsible for the deployment, operations, and maintenance of mission‑critical systems, working closely with customers and military personnel.
This position is ideal for someone who is solutions‑oriented, independently motivated, and comfortable learning and operating within standard operating procedures for new systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the deployment, operations, and maintenance of mission‑critical systems
• Perform full lifecycle troubleshooting across system payloads, including but not limited to:
○ MFAS Radar
○ EO/IR systems
○ Airborne recorders
• Conduct fault isolation, remediation, and resolution to ensure consistent flight operations
• Provide hands-on field integration, troubleshooting, and system repair
• Work from engineering documentation, procedures, and technical manuals
• Communicate effectively with customers and military personnel in an operational environment

Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience
• Active Security+ certification (or ability to obtain prior to completion of the 6‑month training program)
• Strong competence in:
○ Linux environments
○ Technical troubleshooting
○ Engineering documentation, tools, and equipment
• Experience troubleshooting and/or administering Windows and Linux servers
• Familiarity with payload operations or communications/networking operations
• Proven expertise in fault isolation and system troubleshooting in operational environments

Preferred Qualifications
• DoD 8140‑approved IAT Level II certification (or higher)
• Experience managing servers and Windows domain architecture
• Experience working from maintenance instructions and formal sign‑off processes
• Hands‑on experience with test equipment such as:
○ Network analyzers
○ Spectrum analyzers
○ Signal generators

Work Environment
• Fast‑paced, mission‑focused operational setting
• Frequent interaction with technical teams, customers, and military personnel
• Onsite role following completion of training
