Job Description

Duties

  • Serve as the Housing Division Chief for the Directorate of Public Works.
  • Responsible for project oversight of the privatized family and unaccompanied housing, centralized barracks management programs, and the direct management of non-privatized installation housing functions.
  • Ensure compliance with funding restraints statutory limitations, furnishing requirements and reporting deadlines.
  • Formulate long-range personnel and work plans to justify contract and management support housing programs such as centralized barracks management program, furnishings, major renovations, facility maintenance and major acquisition programs.
  • Provide oversight for major construction and execution of the Community Development Management Plan (CDMP).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing overall housing management plans to support various installation housing functions such as privatized housing, unaccompanied personnel housing (UPH)/barracks, contract management, budget, facilities and infrastructure management, and furnishings management; analyzing a variety of directives, instructions, and procedures to identify project deficiencies for housing facilities, occupancy/utilization, and inspections; and determining impact of housing or barracks repairs, improvements, or other corrective measures and coordinating/scheduling/implementing work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
