Job Description

Duties

  • Provides staff assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management for the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Program and affiliates within the Task Force structure.
  • Forecasts, requests and manages the Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) and Military Personnel, Army (MPA) budgets for the host program and affiliates within the task force structure.
  • Accounts for property and manages various classes of supplies at the host and affiliated programs.
  • Utilizes various automated computer/software applications to prepare documents involving supply transactions, management reports and logistics.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires that the employee support USACC Cadet Summer Training over a 6-12 week time frame each summer.
  • This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station approximately 30% or more of the time depending on mission requirements.
  • A valid state driver's license is required.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License with Hazardous Material Endorsement.
  • This position is limited to persons who have not had a conviction of domestic violence under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. 922).
  • Completion of a Unit Armor Course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training.
  • Completion of Contracting Officer's Representative course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training.
  • This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program.
  • Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019, Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified Critical Under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program, or a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
  • Requires completion of Logistics course within 1 year from Entry on Duty (EOD). Refresher every 3 years.
  • Must complete Supply Tech Course within 1 year of employment. Refresher must be completed.
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete a physical examination prior to the Entry on Duty (EOD) date.
  • May be responsible for providing logistics support for programs within the task force as directed.
  • May perform additional duties as the Unit Prevention Leader (UPL), which requires travel to conduct testing.
  • If selected to perform these duties, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the DA UPL Certification Training IAW AR-600-85 and maintain the system, testing supplies, and serve as point of contact for the program.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which include 1) Ensuring record management files are properly maintained; 2) Following procedures to inspect supplies or equipment for discrepancies; 3) Operating automated word processing equipment with hardware and software components to prepare a variety of materials such as correspondence, forms, reports, etc.; 4) Maintaining property book in accordance with applicable regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06)
