Job Description:
The Security Specialist (Physical/Personnel)will support USMC Special Security Officer, HQMC Intel Division (IID) in personnel and physical security.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform personnel security clearance investigations, personnel security interviews, indoctrinations, personnel access control, nomination package processing, administer SCI non-disclosure agreements, validate billet assignments, visitor logs, access control logs, physical security inspections of classified spaces including intrusion detection systems and access control systems
• Utilize familiar knowledge of industrial security program and processing and general knowledge of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility construction and accreditation principles, along with general knowledge of related areas

Required Qualifications:

• • 8+ years of personnel and physical security experience;
• Must have practical understanding of security principles, concepts, and methodologies
• Must also understand security criteria, equipment or techniques; and general administrative security knowledge
• Working knowledge of basic laws, rules and regulations pertaining to security administration; and understanding of service security policy, procedures, and requirements; and ability to apply specific security techniques and analytical methods
• Must be knowledgeable of internal activity organization and the relationship with higher-level security authorities
• Must show a capability for original thinking to analyze and assimilate the factual material presented

• Must be skilled in effective verbal and written communication techniques to produce finished products
